I found this nice place in Ballard

Yesterday I drove to Ballard to pick up my mom's birthday cake. As I was driving down the road, I noticed a sign that said "wood slabs for sale". Impulsively, I drove in and found this incredible warehouse full of hard woods.

I was there for about 30 minutes talking with Dave, a craftsman who does wooden bowls. this inspired me to starty a small project involving wood slabs. I've been sketching a bunch just to get the ideas onto paper...
